Separators are used to separate the solid fraction from the liquid in the anaerobic fermentation process. The liquid fraction can be used as a fertilizer and for irrigation. The solid fraction may be used as an amender, as cattle beds, etc.. Use of separators is also recommended as a pretreatment in nitrogen-reducing plants
